‘상명CareerStart’ 교과목은, 지성인으로서 갖추어야 할 소양을 함양케 하며, 지도자로서의 자질 향상에 주요 학습 목표를 둔다. 이렇게 하여 대학인으로서 보편적으로 사고하는 능력을 배양하고, 자율성을 바탕으로 능동적인 사회활동을 하는 민주시민이 지녀야 할 소양을 함양하는 인성교육과 국제화 시대에 부응토록 한다.

As part of fulfilling the university’s mission to foster creativity, convergent thinking, professionalism, and humanitarian spirit in Sangmyung students, the course aims to nurture independent thinking, democratic citizenship and leadership in Sangmyung students, which are essential qualities as global citizens.
