이 강의에서는 세계 명작 속 인물들을 탐구함으로서 학생들이 폭넓고 깊이 있는 인성을 기를 수 있도록 유도한다. 강좌는 잘 알려진 명작 속 인물들의 성격을 이해하는 것을 시작으로 그들의 감성과 이상 그리고 그들이 처한 시대 환경을 살핀다. 인물이 어떤 개성을 가지고 있는지, 주변 사람들과는 어떤 관계를 맺는지, 도덕적으로 어떤 판단을 하게 되는지, 열정을 어떻게 억제하는지 등 인간사의 수많은 문제들을 문학 작품 속 인물을 통해 다룬다. 학생들은 이 강좌에서 자신처럼 부족한 인물, 자신보다 용기 있는 인물, 자신처럼 갈등하는 인물들을 만나게 된다. 또, 실제 경험해 보지 못한 삶을 문학 특히 인물을 통해 경험해봄으로서 풍부한 인생 경험을 쌓게 된다. 강의는“1.작품에 대한 정리와 소개, 2.중요한 부분에 대한 강독, 3.강의와 토론, 4.간단한 감상문 쓰기”로 이루어진다.

In this lecture, students explore the world's masterpieces and this lecture encourage students to develop a broad and deep character. The lecture examines the emotions, ideals, and the environment in which they lived, beginning with an understanding of the character of well-known masterpieces. It deals with a number of human affairs issues through the characters in literary works, such as how a person has a personality, what kind of relationship he/she has with other people, what kind of judgment is made morally, and how to suppress enthusiasm. In this class, the students meet people who are lacking, who are more courageous than themselves, and who are conflicted like oneself. In addition, we experience rich life experiences by experiencing the life which we did not actually experience in literature, especially character.
